刚柔兼备，内外兼练的仿生气功 – 五禽戏
2014年8月24日，应文化中心武术学会诚邀，来自多伦多地区著名的太极和气功教练丁建平老师在文化中心为武术及气功爱好者们现场传授了仿生气功五禽戏的全套动作要点，受到大家一致的肯定与称赞。
丁建平老师是上海体育学院毕业的武术专业硕士研究生，现任万锦导引养生中心及丁氏太极学院院长，加拿大健身气功协会会长，并曾获多届加拿大太极拳，推手冠军。
五禽戏，是通过模仿虎，鹿，熊，猿，鸟五种动物的动作，以保健强身的一种气功功法。据说是中国古代医学家华佗所创，故又称华佗五禽戏。相传华佗曾看到小孩抓着门闩来回荡着玩耍，便联想起“户枢不蠹，流水不腐”的道理，想到人的大多疾病都是由于气血不畅和瘀寒停滞而造成的，如果人体也像“户枢”那样经常活动，让气血畅通，就会增进健康，不易生病。于是，华佗有时间就专心致志地研究锻炼身体的方法，参照当时古人锻炼身体的“导引术”，不断琢磨改进，根据各种动物的动作，创造一套模仿虎、鹿、猿、熊、鸟五种动物的拳法。这套拳，模仿猛虎猛扑呼啸，模仿小鹿愉快飞奔，模仿猿猴左右跳跃，模仿黑熊慢步行走，以及模仿鸟儿展翅飞翔等动作，通过这一系列的运作，能清利头目，增强心肺功能，强壮腰肾，滑利关节，促进身体素质的增强，简便易学，故不论男女老幼均可选练，待体质逐渐增强后再练全套动作。五禽戏不仅具强身延年之功，还有祛疾除病之效。正如华佗所说：“体有不快，起作禽之戏，怡而汗出，……身体轻便而欲食。”近年来五禽戏作为康复医疗的一种手段，已广泛应用于中风后遗症，风湿性关节炎，类风湿性关节炎，骨质增生症，脊髓不全性损伤等患者的辅助治疗。
五禽戏分别是虎戏、鹿戏、熊戏、猿戏和鸟戏，每种动作都是模仿了相应的动物动作。由中国体委新编的简化五禽戏，每戏分两个动作，分别为：虎举、虎扑；鹿抵、鹿奔；熊运、熊晃；猿提、猿摘；鸟伸、鸟飞。每种动作都是左右对称地各做一次，并配合气息调理。在当日讲座中，丁建平老师为大家现场示范了整套五禽戏。并提示了诸多精华要点，比如要根据五种动物的特征分别加入意念，如虎威猛，鹿轻灵，熊浑厚等。虎举在举到头顶后还要再继续伸展约五厘米，把身体拉开。鹿戏要轻盈展开，身体既紧又松。熊运两手轻触丹田附近，移动时也是对此处神经末梢的刺激。熊晃将身体拔长拉开，像熊一样提髋然后向前迈步。猿戏讲究扣手和收臂，然后在完全挤压状态下转头。鸟戏让脊柱完全拉伸，并像波浪一样不停翻动。练习时，既可以练全套，也可以单练一禽之戏，甚至可以选练一两个动作。单练一两个动作时，应增加锻炼的次数。如果肩部不舒服，可以多做虎举。颈部不舒服，可以做猿戏和鹿戏。
丁老师谈到，五禽戏简单易学，又非常有效，很多人想健身但是不知道用哪个动作，五禽戏就是最好的古人总结出来的有效动作。通过各种动作一紧一松的练习，人体就像湿毛巾拧紧又放松一样，让血液出来又进去，令气血得以锻炼疏通，畅行无阻。
在丁老师的带领下，大家跟着做了一遍全套五禽戏，都感觉身体轻松畅快，全身都疏通了一遍。丁老师提醒大家，一定要注意呼吸的配合。要想练好功夫，有两个重要方面，一是形态很重要，要美观，舒服。二就是呼吸，有呼吸才能把动作整个融合到一起，做到节节贯穿。同时要注意心理状态，意念外延和导引也很重要。
