墨家，创始人为墨翟，世称墨子，墨家之名从创始人而得。墨子出生社会下层。最初受业于儒家，后因不满儒家强调的繁文縟節和对靡財害事的喪葬抱有疑虑，故“背周道而用夏政”，强调要學習大禹刻苦儉樸的精神，遂脱离儒家的“其君用之，则安富尊荣”，而创立墨家。儒，墨同为春秋战国时期显学，当时有“不入于儒，即入于墨”之说。墨家同时被视为中国最早的民间结社组织，有着严密组织和严格纪律，其最高的领袖被称为「巨子」，墨家的成员都自称为“墨者”，所謂“墨子之门多勇士”。 “墨子服役者百八十人，皆可使赴火蹈刃，死不还踵”。墨者们吃苦耐劳、严于律己，把维护公理与道义看作是义不容辞的责任，墨者大多是有知识的劳动者。墨子说：万事莫贵于义。墨子说的“义”，就是正义，大义。 那么什么是正义大义呢？他认为，兴天下之大利，除天下之大害，才是真正的大义。 侠者贵义，义之所在，虽千万人，吾往矣；义之所弃，虽万金将于我何干？这就是墨子给我们定义的“任侠”。 在这个人情渐趋冷漠与麻木的年代，重读墨子，重温侠义精神，是有必要的。 如果您对墨家思想深感兴趣，请到文化中心进一步聆听谷亚川先生的讲解。 讲座时间：2014年3月29日周六下午2点至4点 地点：新天地文化中心 Unit 215, 3085 Hurontario St., Mississauga, ON 3.30日周日下午2点至4点 中华武术沙龙： 21世纪武者的追求以及对国粹武术的思考 主讲者：罗荣富， 加拿大基爱武术中心密市总教练
